I think we should clarify what is a note and what is not a note. To me a note is something that is not part of the document and that should not be there in the printed output. By this I mean that it may be printed in drafts documents, but is supposed to be removed before final. When I read EmbeddedObjects, I just think that a note a footnote, a margin note, all these things are the same. If people begin to use a note instead of a box just because they can get the fancy color on output, then we have really failed somewhere. I think like Juergen that the functionality of framing and coloring must be moved to box. >> I don't understand what is your problem with these notes.
