I'll probably switch to CMAKE, but I thought I'd follow the instructions
in INSTALL.Win32 to see if it works first.
I'm now at step 7 (Compile) which says:
From MS Visual Studio command prompt (not the regular cmd.exe),
run development\Win32\packaging\build_msvc.bat
So I looked around for a command prompt inside MSVC and found
View-Other Windows->Command Window
which gives me a prompt at the bottom of the IDE.
Anyway, I can't get the command prompt to accept anything reasonable. I've
tried with
cd c:\lyx-devel
(Gives "command 'cd' is not valid")
c:\lyx-devel\development\Win32\packaging\build_msvc.bat
(Gives "command 'c:\lyx' is not valid")
and a few others... What am I doing wrong?
It feels a bit suspicious that I haven't opened any project for LyX, which
is why I first tried changing the working directory.
Ideas?
