The last step according to INSTALL.Win32 is the 'First start of LyX' and
the instructions are as follows:
To start the just compiled lyx.exe, it is necessary to copy the
following files to the folder where the just compiled "lyx.exe"
is:
Aiksaurus.dll
aspell.dll
iconv.dll
intl.dll
QtCore4.dll
QtGui4.dll
(If the files are not on your system, you can download them from
http://wiki.lyx.org/uploads/DevelTools/buildLyx/LyXWinBuildDLLs.zip)
It doesn't say where to find lyx.exe, but a search reveals it in two
directories:
* lyx-devel/build-msvc/bin/
* lyx-devel/development/scons/release/
The executables are identical, so I guess that doesn't matter. Anyway, am
I supposed to extract the files listed above to for instance
lyx-devel/build-msvc/bin/
and run LyX from there?
Or should I put lyx.exe in a new directory with the extracted files?
