I simply copied the missing files from ../bin/ to build-msvc/ and that
allows me to finally start LyX. Is that the correct approach, or
should I set something equivalent to LD_LIBRARY_PATH instead?
Joost's ZIP file contains ALL libraries needed (as you have already
found out by yourself).
I copied the relevant libs to build-msvc/bin.
