Say you identify yourself as a logician and you have just published a
paper in coauthorship with other researchers. On what concerns the
definitions and theorems contained in the paper, is it fair for anyone
to expect you to show:
(i) full mastery of them (being able to explain them all in detail)
(ii) proficient understanding of them (able to illustrate and reproduce them)
(iii) show acquaintance with them (able to explain the significance of
definitions and of statements of the theorems)
(iv) none of the above
