Hi Prad,
Your linux boot loader has to be present within the
first 1024 cylinders. If you partition you hard disk
as 12 gb for windows then you have lost the first 1024
size and linux does not know where to search for your
boot loader. It is of course possible to fool you bios
and make the things you want possible but then you
have to play with your bios settings.
Do one thing put your /boot partition within first
1024 cylinders and for that you require only 10mb max
then go on with you partitions followed by windows and
then linux.
