happy purim everyone :) (and for those of you in jerusalem, have an easy fast today)

diego - thank you very much for your efforts ... i am not yet ready to give up on this
modem... i do have an "Alcatel Speed Touch Home" modem if necessary (but i hope it
isn't) and i understand that it has a router inside.

to the linux-il list i plead: can any of you please help me reconnect my linux box to
the net?

see below: i have spent the last 10 days or so trying to get help on the gnubies-il
list, but no one seems to be able to help me connect to the net from my
slackware-linux server, via my new Samsung EHT-300 modem, which uses pppoe. my isp is
bezeq internet (so they won't give me any tech support for linux), but i really need
to reconnect my linux box to the net...

thanks in advance to everyone who can help me :) may you all receive plenty of
"mishloach manot" :)

best,

yasha harari
