Get an up-to-date xkb symbols map from http://linux.org.il/faq/?file=86
(Actually I thought that the latest release of XFree has alreadt included

Language or keyboard?
Is there any problem with setting language to "Hebrew" and keyboard to
"Israelian" ?
(You might want to set LC_MESSAGES to 'en' or 'en_US', in
/etc/sysconfig/i18n , if that hasn't changed. This means that hebrew
translations of programs are not used. You can also set LC_TIME to that
value, to avoid having a hebrew date string. But LANG and LC_CTYPE should
be "he" or similar)
