(Just to check: are you using the qemu command line from
https://wiki.linaro.org/Source/ImageInstallation or something else?)

plymouth and ureadahead dying is expected (because we only
have 256M of memory) with that snapshot: this is
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ureadahead/+bug/600359
(which it seems has just been fixed but after the date of your snapshot).
How long did you wait here? It should give you a login prompt, but
it does pause for a while first.
