Top posting - HTML - Windows - grr.

Ralph - it's not that - the penultimate note in the first bar is dotted, so it 
does add up to a whole bar.  I think this is what's going on - the beaming 
rules change when the all the note values in a bar aren't the same.  We need a 
beaming rules expert to step forward.

  Perhaps it's because of your incomplete first measure (1/8 +  1/8 + 1/8 + 1/8 
+ 1/8 + 1/16).
