Purposely introducing differences in Calc Functions has never been encouraged, and having such differences has never been free of negative consequences. Since Calc developers with adequate knowledge and experience are no longer active (or are no longer contributing to LO Calc), we will keep seeing things like this piling up, with no real QA nor (present or future) ODF compliance. Each developer will introduce whatever he wants to do, just because he can. A user using Ben's version of LAMBDA() will forget that there are special features, even in ods file format. Sharing the file with someone else will be restricted to using the same version of LO.
