--- Comment #8 from ady <[email protected]> --- Ben, you are not considering (too) many cases. Someone having to share a spreadsheet with someone else that does not use LO Calc is one of many examples. The author of a spreadsheet does not always have full control of what others do, or which software they use. An author of a book might like to use Writer, but if the Editor that has to approve and print the book requires / demands the file to be submitted in MSO format, the original Author has a potential problem. If a spreadsheet has to be shared and used simultaneously by different users with different spreadsheet tools (or different versions of the same tool), that is a serious problem. In Calc, you can improve and change UI, UX, auxiliary functionalities, procedures... But having incompatibilities with spreadsheet Functions is a big issue, not just a matter of showing some warning. Additionally, you would have to maintain one way of saving (to ODF, in some form which might not be 100% defined yet), and another code to export to XLSX, where the incompatibility cannot be saved. The incompatibility must be solved, ASAP. If you want a different Function, you could create your own Calc extension, publish it for others so it is available as an optional add-on (.oxt), and call that other function something like "Ben superlative unbeatable modified lambda", or BENLAMBDA(), or LAMBDABEN(), or LAMBDA.BEN(). Please bring the standard LAMBDA() function in standard Calc to be compatible with other spreadsheet tools. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
