As far as compatibility goes, I think it would be worth (in general) establishing a framework when exporting, to offer warnings when something wouldn't be compatible, as well as suggested fixes. Obviously that functionality is a separate issue from this one, but if it were available (actually, I'm not certain that it isn't; I haven't checked) this incompatibility could be included as another warning with a suggested fix (which would be to convert those cell formulas to named formulas). I would say that in the general case, such a fix could not be implemented automatically by the software. See, for example, the above attachment, where the LAMBDAs are accessed by position. But I imagine there are many other cases where an incompatibility would be worth a warning.
