Yup, and its still there 1 year later. If the gcc devs actually do decide to remove the only way to sanely override which directory gcc searches for startfiles (and its utility far outweighs its removal) and don't provide an alternative mechanism, I will happily maintain the (miniscule) patch required to put it back in.
