What's wrong with the one I did Matt, udev-config-2.rules. I made that after we agreed upon the changes??
The problem with the one you have proposed is we don't have all those extra groups. dialout, audio, video, floppy, tape.
I will be doing the update to the new groups tonight with my hotplug stuff and I will revert back to udev-config-2.rules file.
a) Text was ready to go into the LFS book to explain the changes in the groups, and what the user needs to do to get back the functionality they were used to
or
b) BLFS was ready to integrate the necessary changes into their book
We really need to make sure one of these two things are in place before we drop all the groups from LFS - otherwise, we're going to end up with a lot of unhappy builders.
