Not really an opinion on the drug laws but I lived there as a teenager in the
late 70's early 80s when the drug problem really started to escalate. Most of
the methadone and heroin treatment programs began after I left, but the city
really did have a serious issue as Zurich became the place of choice for
addicts across Europe to come to due to the easy availability of hard drugs.
Famous spot was the "Platzspitze" where addicts were pretty much left to their
own devices, an approach that really did not work as the effects spread across
the city.

They were the last country in Western Europe to give women the vote - 1971!
Any immigrant found guilty of a crime is automatically deported, although
they might make an exception for Lewis "traitor" Hamilton cos tho he is a
bit black he's a blinking millionaire and as the Nazis found, with the
Swiss, it's the money that matters!

Anyway a piece about their Heroin policy - the vote was passed 66/33 by the
way
