So what's with this anti-American fervour you seem to have Guy? - note, I have no problem with you disliking or even hating Americans, that's your business, but I am interested as to why - Yesterday you said I should get rid of my wife - and it's not the first time you have said something to me because of her nationality (for those who don't know, she is American, but has passed all her tests etc and will soon be British!), and then there is the posting below. What causes these feelings for you I wonder? Your attempt yesterday to take me to task for suggesting a dislike for all things Turkish still couldn't resist a dig at my wife and her nationality, and it would seem to a tad hypocritical to call the kettle black when you yourself have obvious prejudices.
Bear in mind that by no means am I the only regular member of this list with an American wife - I know of at least 2 others, and I'm sure they would wonder about your thoughts too - over and above the quite normal British piss taking about Americans which even we indulge in (probably more than most actually!). I await hearing the usual "war mongers" "Gun toting" "Voting for GWB" comments - or do you have any real reasons?
