Technically not true When it all kicked off I was in a bar near the souk. The place filled quite quickly with people getting out of the way. There wre a gang of turks with a cross of St George and a stars and stripes alight. I thought this was just political rather than footy. Hopwever I was told that some statue of Attaturk had been abused......never saw it myself
