Paul, Let me start by saying what a first class c'nt you are. You also are a first class coward in that you are only willing to trade insults via your pc.
Ok. You've trotted out Strauss's weaknesses via stats but as we've seen Stats can lie and if we take Vaughan's recent efforts with England it would be easy to suggest that he is the worst captain we have had for a while. Let's look at the last time we won something in one day internationals. That happened to be in Australia for the recent ODI tournament against Australia and New Zealand. That's the first time we have won anything for over 10 years in the one day game. Who was the captain Paul ? It was Flintoff. Does that make him better than Vaughan ? 'Cos Vaughan has won fuck all in the one day game. I would suggest it does by your reckoning. What did your Wisden manual say about that one Paul ? Do you masturbate over your Wisden manual ? Come on Paul, let's be real. I am a Yorkshireman . I'd love to see a successful England /Yorkshire captain who opened the batting and lead us on to World Cup vicroty. I'd still like to see it now and as always would be glad to say Vaughan has proved me wrong and I know nowt about Cricket BUT I can't see the value in having a captain who is just not leading from the front and is really struggling. Let him go back to Yorkshire, get fit and the score some hundreds , then maybe we can see him return as England captain some time later in the year. That is the way forward - not to thrust him into heavy competition and watch him struggle like f'ck. Ok. So now some questions for you. You have mocked my cricketing cv , so let's have yours. No , I am not a Yorkshire member but do go to about 2 or 3 games a season including the Headingly test match. Now for the prophecies :- False prophecy 1) Blackwell will get us relegated - > WRONG, he never did He would have but he got sacked before Christmas as predicted by me and as not predicted by you. > > False prophecy 2) Anyone would be better than > Blackwell - WRONG, they quite > clearly aren't Well, we were in the bottom 3 when Blackie left and just recently we moved out of it but I'd agree with you that we don't appear to be much better but I think the performances and determination are a million times better and I can see a future under the current regime. Blackwell had no future. > > False Prophecy 3) If this is not true I'll show my > arse on the pitch on the > first match of the season - WRONG, you never did! How many goals as he got Paul ? He's got 8 and takes penalties. However I think he has done really well and has surprised me although on reflection Blackwell ruined him at Leeds by playing him as a lone striker. Do you remember my match reports Paul saying so at the time. Good luck to Hulse I say. > > False Prophecy 5) Watford 1 Leeds 2 (10.5.06) - So > VERY VERY WRONG!! Oh fuck me, I got a result wrong ! I'd be a millionaire Paul if everything I say came true. In fact my prediction was more optimism than anything. I'm still an optimist as a Leeds fan believe it or not. I knew we'd get mullered by Watford. Good day. Bangledesh today. I hope Vaughan get's a hundred I really do. Never get sacked before Christmas - just remember that Paul when you're wanking over your Wisden. --- Paul Cundell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > and before you say Strauss only got 7 in his last > > game, well yes you are right and this is the > problem > > with Strauss being sat on his arse for the last > few > > weeks while Vaughan makes an attempt to discover > how > > to bat.
