Hi I want to come out of the closet. I love football. I am passionate about Leeds United. Supporting Leeds does not entail hating anyone. The opposite is true. Others success can spur us on. But to enjoy someones downfall or tragedy is just petty if not evil. In this vein I wish on us a team like ManU. I wish on us a performance like they gave last night. If we cannot have this then I am glad that they can. Above all I am really pleased that Alan Smith came good. He is a terrific player and is a source of pride. If we had not shot ourselves he would be with us. He did not want to go. But as he had to it was only fair and correct that he chose what was best for him. Alan Smith is a source of pride. Manchester Unite played extremely well. We are shit. But we can and will get back. We can only do that buy putting our efforts into being great. We have no time or energy for petty juvenile stupidity that borders on evil crassness. In our last war we saw an amazing thing. We watched in real time a General meeting his soldiers after the war. A very tired dishevelled soldier said 'Their soldiers ------' --'No' , corrected him the General ' You mean terrorists' --'No, sir' came back the soldier 'They are soldiers. Brave and good soldiers. We will have to learn to beat them. They are not terrorists'. Believe me, soccer is not a war . All the same you can learn from your enemy It starts by giving him the respect he deserves. Last night ManU and our Alan deserved a lot of respect. Michael
