Maybe cos there wont be such stringent restraints here next season?

It is well known and widely anticipated that the overhanging deadweight on the wages bill is finally expired at the end of this season but it remains to be seen what will happen to the freed-up cashflow. Our rich uncle will no doubt be wanting all "loans" to the club to be repaid (if they haven't already been repaid that is), presumably with interest. It is easy to forget that the club received the financial boost of the play off final receipts last season. That cannot have been in ANY budget and was also widely anticipated as being a boost to the potential playing side this season. Perhaps it was held back for January or perhaps it was allocated for different purposes. Perhaps it is now needed in the budget due to attendance levels. Why should the next tranche of funds be any different ? I share your hopes but that is all it is - hope. When the club stands at a nil cost in Uncles personal balance sheet then that will be the moment of the bright new financial dawn. Hoddle of course has direct communications with a much higher authority so maybe he knows best.
