I had promised myself that I'd give up slavishly doing match reports for
each game, this year, and just chip in with stuff as and when...

But yesterday was BOLLOCKS

- Blackwell's wittering after the game was BOLLOCKS - and imagine that,
he managed to find another youngster onto whom he drop some of the blame
- Beckford has come up from the conference and is trying to get some
confidence, find his feet, learn the game - I don't know if he's the
answer to anything but this isn't the way to get the best out of him.
Pretty soon Blackwell's excuses are going to be made impossible to dish
out by his own transfer policy of mainly buying hardened old journeymen
- none of whom he'll be able to blame...then who's fault will it be Kev?

- the crowd was BOLLOCKS - 22,000 got lost on the way back from Cardiff?
Christ there must be some motorway services just south of Brum locked in
some hideous sort of Groundhog Day with 000's of lost LU souls wandering
aimlessly unable to find the slip road back onto the north bound
carriageway...And even them as was there yesterday wouldn't say boo to a
goose - until the first tinklings of "Blackwell out" started to be
heard...

We were comprehensively outplayed for the first half when their keeper
had nothing to do until that mad scramble in the 44th minute - by which
time Warner had made 4 or 5 decent saves and their forwards had missed a
couple of very good heading opportunities, putting them wide of the
post. Second half slowly became more and more Leeds until in the middle
of some sustained pressure Killa gives the ball away on the edge of
their box - they had 90 yards to go - they managed this without facing a
tackle - fast pass & move with a good finish - yes Killa ballsed up -
where was everyone else? I'm sure the tragic irony of Killa's last two
mistakes are not lost on the lad - he was holding his head like someone
who knew he was going to be the scapegoat for this despite being our
most consistent defender - the only question remaining is, "is he still
young and inexperienced enough for Kev to palm the blame off onto him?"
time will tell.

We deserved nothing from this game - got to admit I was looking forward
to Rich's assessment on McPhail with a wry smile.

- this is a club immasculated and eviscerated.
