Oh FFS.

It takes THREE parties to make a transfer happen. Two clubs and a player.

Premiership club comes in for championship player.

Championship player is 26 and knows he isn't going to have many cracks at the premiership.

Premiership club offers him the chance to do so now, probably with a pay rise.

Player expresses desire to leave and join premiership club.

Championship club says OK - so long as we get the right money.

Championship club hangs out for good deal. Does deal. Player goes. Says nice things about championship club so as not to piss off the fans.

That's how football works. the PLAYERS and their agents call the shots.
