I would say Sheff Utd paid slightly under the odds and MU Waaay way over the odds. No doubt you will say market forces dictate the rate and the going rate is the going rate they go for but that's bollocks. Anyone who thinks £18.6m (or whatever) is a good price for Carrick, is a Spurs fan. The kid went for £2.75m not 2 seasons ago. No sane person at Spurs wouldn't accept that offer.
