So, Livermore or Westlake, chaps?
Had to send Harding the other way or I doubt they'd have done the deal (they
were on the record as being interested in Harding). How long is Crainey out
for? I heard he had shin splints - so could be a while. Obviously we need
a LB then - unless he puts Lewis there? If they've any sense Parker will
have a recall clause in his loan contract.
Westlake:
Signed his first professional contract with Town in June 2002. A revelation
in his first full season in League football, 2003/04, picking up the
Supporters' Player of the Year award as well as the John Kerridge trophy for
the most improved player as determined by the coaching staff. Was named in
England's U21 squad at the start of the 2004/05 season but yet to make his
debut at that level. Signed a new contract to keep him at Town until 2008.
Represented England at water polo at U17 level. 16 goals in 100 starts.

Yeah apparently. Blackwell has got rid of Harding.
Does Blackie know what he's doing ? Westlake is a
midfielder who got a bad ankle injury last season
(March) and was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Risky !!!
SO Pugh and Harding out , Crainey injured. Who is
going to play left back ??
FFS !!

The talk is we've got Westlake for Harding plus
cash. Don't know him that
well, but he's 22 and their players of the season 3
years ago, so sounds
promising. Initial feeling good on that signing
(though he spent a fair bit
of last season out injured).
However selling Harding looks very, very weird.
We've now released Pugh,
sold Harding, bought and sold Livermore, still got a
crocked (and rubbish)
Crainey and sent Parker off on a 6 month loan.
Surely, surely no-one would be stupid enough to play
Killer at left back
after Cardiff. Surely?

Not really, I think we've treated Livermore like
shit. If he wasn't good
enough, we shouldn't have gone for him. And there's
no chance we've made
money on the deal, maybe we didn't lose too much,
but that's not the point.
I think it's just a sign of bad skills in the
transfer market, and yet
another example of the reasons I don't like
Blackwell.
