A direct replacement of Nicholls for Livermore improves the squad. If we get this other person (is it Westlake?) then it improves it further.
As for good business, first you have to sell Livermore when you can, if you have to sell him before the second player actually signs then there is an element of risk to the deal. I don't think Livermore was ever going to be a first choice start in midfield do you? So the fact that Nicholls is out for 10-12 weeks or whatever is slightly less important, Livermore would still only be sitting on the bench. It would only prove to be a factor if one of the first choice midfield players got injured or suspended (Bakke/Derry), and in that situation Stone can play in midfield and Richardson move to right midfield or whatever. Second, clearly they wouldn't have sold unless they were pretty sure the second player comes in. So, Nicholls in for Livermore improves the squad as it is. Getting the second player in improves it FURTHER. Ideally these two would be in and injury free before selling Livermore, but its still good business to do the deal for Livermore and sell him while we can. -----Original Message----- From: Tim Leslie [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 03 August 2006 11:06 To: Mark Humphries Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: [LU] Livermore SOLD So it's good business to buy Nicholls, buy Livermore then sell Livermore now that Nicholls is injured? > Nicholls for one. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Tim Leslie [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 03 August 2006 10:41 > To: Mark Humphries > Cc: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [LU] Livermore SOLD > > Sorry Mark, you talk about improving the squad (i.e. The Livermore > Situation) .... ermmm Who's he replaced him with then???
