Sorry to exclude all those not in the UK from this but does anyone prefer watching footie on ITV in preference to the BBC? I find myself wanting to throw my shoes at the telly when Peter 'f**king' Drury starts babbling on with his pre-prepared script of trite alliteration and over flowery sycophancy of anyone who plays for scum or the arse (I'm grimacing now just thinking about it) - Jesus it makes me seethe!!
And the sumer uppers aren't any better - Southgate is the commentators equivalent of Nytol, and David Bleat, well he's got to be bloody mogadon !!. Compare this with Motsons informed knowledge, or Jonathan Pearce's exuberance (and rumoured to be a Leeds fan) and for me there's no contest. I suppose the only thing ITV have over the Beeb is who would you share you bed with, Linekar or Yorath? Oh and also are the producers of the World Cup viewing being politically correct these days or are there just no good looking women in the stadiums, as there's been a dearth of quality dolly shots - couple of nice young ladies during the Sweden game and one Mexican and that's it! Even Mrs DRB commented on it! Come on German TV Producers, we don't need to see every bloke with his face painted in his country's colours!
