I much prefer BBC coverage, but even they have some right old duffers. Lineker is the pick of the bunch, Hansen is OK, but Shearer is just rubbish, as is Ian Wright - although Wrighty can sometimes be entertaining. Motson is OK-ish.... can be irritating, Pearce is pretty good, and Lawrenson is probably the best "summariser" - he doesn't just repeat the blindingly obvious things you've just seen. I was amused when they effectively got shot of Graeme Le Saux, by offering him the B-class matches. I can't believe he actually thought he could make a career in the media - I've rarely heard such a load of claptrap.
ITV are just utter rubbish - Gabby isn't too bad, but their choice of studio guests is just always appalling, as are all their summarisers. For luvverly ladies, I guess some exuberant Brazilians may fill the cameras on Tuesday?? On the footballing side, I wonder if Poland will get revenge on Germany for destroying their country?!
