A bit late to the thread, but I absolutely cannot stand motson. If what you mean by 'informed' is having a sheet of facts prepared and then going through them at random, then maybe, but I can do without it.
Most of all I HATE his utter inappropriate raising of pitch, or even worse, that f#cking fake laugh of his. When match of the day lost their live rights why oh why couldn't they keep some of the other commentators and not that [EMAIL PROTECTED] I much prefer the ITV comms. When its on BBC I tend to put on the R5live comm feed despite Alan green. At least they have the bollocks to say Neville & cole were having 'shockers' and where else could you get totally accurate comments on a side being 'total pants' as per Terry Butchers assessment of Paraguay in the first half?
