At the end of the day you cant argue with goals scored if you are a striker, but Im not sure what his recent record is like? But anyway, all I said about Owen is that I think he is over-rated as a player, even though he has been effective. I said that if he isn't 100% fit then, in my opinion, he shouldn't play because I don't think he is anywhere close to being effective when he isn't fit. The recent match was a good example, struggled with his movement and lack of pace. As a lone striker you are as much responsible for bringing other players into play as scoring yourself, and he couldn't do that. The one chance he did get (a point blank header) he missed because he directed it too close to the keeper.
