But did you think that he had picked the wrong team and wrong tactics vs Preston in the semifinal 2nd leg?
I think what Im saying here is that in hindsight the tactics were wrong. Just like in hindsight the tactics for the semi final were genius. *IF* we had scored either first or second, then I think the team would have gone on to win, and then its entirely feasible we would have again been saying it was great tactics that won the match. That's all really. You can look for the negatives out of any performance by any player or manager. Similarly you can look for the positives. However I believe you have to take a holistic view of the season, and I don't think I saw ANYONE demanding automatic promotion at the start of the season. I don't even think I saw anyone thinking automatic promotion was likely, whoever was manager. Most of us said that a top 6 finish, with maybe a playoff final appearance would be a good season. That's what we got. The football may not have been pretty along the way, but fuck it, do you think Watford fans are complaining about that right now? He aint going anywhere no matter how much some of you moan about him, so why not just accept he is there until at least November, hope that he manages to get a few good players in to freshen up, can use this preseason to develop our playing style etc and maybe, just maybe, we will have a better season next year playing better football. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:leedslist- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Leslie > Sent: 23 May 2006 14:29 > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [LU] Not Good Enough > > Couldn't care less about the comparison.
