Couldn't care less about the comparison. Warnock was The Blunts manager
then and KB the coach, IMHO any tactical mistakes are the managers NOT the
coach's. THIS time, the MANAGER was responsible and, as I alluded to
earlier, this point has been driven home countless times (Some fair, some
not) by Messrs Walker et al. Fact is we had 13 days to prepare for a
massive game, something we may not be at for YEARS to come and we blew it
with dreadful tactics and selection. That is not the coaches fault, and
therefore any similarities between the Wolves - Blades game and Sunday
exonerate KB from the former ... it fully implicates him for the latter
though.
Mark, I've defended KB, I've spent countless posts telling Rich etc. that
they have to look at the bigger picture whilst admitting in many of his
observations about selection, but Sunday for me was almost like a switch
going on. A switch I've tried not to flick all season, a switch that I
finally had no option than to press after Sunday. With the players
available and with 43,000 fans in the stadium to cheer them on, Blackwell
produced completely the wrong team, completely the wrong tactics and
completely the wrong impression of himself and us.
