Two points here;

1) Blackwell told the players to keep possession in the first half. They
either ignored him or weren't able to. I think they were panicking and
ignored him, is it a coincidence that at the start of the second half we
were trying to play it around more? Ie after just receiving a bollocking to
that effect?

2) Whenever we did play it through midfield we were fouled time and again.
Which resulted mostly in free-kicks in not particularly threatening areas.
Which resulted in free kicks into the box. Which resulted in them gaining
possession and hoofing it down field again.

The fact we had a team that looked dangerous when they did what the manager
told them should say something to you.

Its not always easy playing against teams like Watford, if it was they
wouldn't have finished 3rd. Its almost impossible if half your players
freeze/panic on the big day.

> we did), hoping one man can take on 4, was an act of gross stupidity.
