Financially KB should have a few million to spend on some players this
summer, following the £1.3m gate receipts from yesterday,
Bates said he was gonner spend the £1.3m on the ground.
Well, he's too canny to say "Great we've got £1.3m for players." isn't he?
If he did that (like some of our previous, criminally incompetent chairmen
did) then the asking price for players becomes... £1.3m!!! Much better not
to mention the size of your transfer kitty before you start negotiations!
