Could someone please explain what a MIDFIELD is. Someone asked Kevin Blackwell and he said he wasn't sure but thought it was the gap between the man in the Leeds defence who boot the ball upfield and the Watford defender who booted it back.
Well, what a load of sh*te it was yesterday. I could have put a team together to beat Leeds because they play the same cr*p way every time. I don't blame the players, they play the way that Blackwell asks them to. Why can't they pass the ball instead of hoofing it upfield in the hope that we manage to find our only forward. In the second half for about 10 mins we played some good passing football and put pressure on Watford. One goal and I think that they would have crumbled as they were very flaky at times. I am really concerned about next season. As someone previously mentioned, the 'old ones' are reaching end of life and we now have a mismatch of players. We urgently need a midfield who can control the match. Derry is ok, Bakke could be the linchpin if a) he stays, b) is fit and c) decides he wants to play for the team. Finally, in the Current Bun today, the Leeds wage bill for next season will be £18M with only £3M being paid to the current squad. Looks like we won't get any decent players next season.
