I use OmegaT and Lokalize on Kubuntu Oneiric and everything is fine here
I noticed that unlike poedit, Virtaal is capable to get translation
from Internet's "translation memory".
I had to make such for poedit combining almost everything as .po up to
date in Latvian.

you using where it isn't available? Or is the version for your system
