You might recall I asked about a smaller than KXTD system.

Well, I'm trying out a VoicePro 206 I bought from some old
"Gee, no GTE" guy. (It came with a K bottle of N2 in case
the line cord leaks...)

It now has the Stok ROM upgrade.

It's no Jack Kennedy, but might be acceptable.

A) The promised fax CNG detection does not work. I'm told my
hardware may be too old, so we went with ILEC Distinctive Ring.

B) We had TERRIBLE crosstalk. Even with the two stations on separate
CAT3 cables... Plus, there was lots of 60hz.

I finally decided its station outputs were not balanced, and the
150 ft+ run to the closet was unacceptable.

I moved it into the office; with the phones plugging into it via
10' modular cords. Crosstalk gone.

C) It uses 90v message waiting lamps, which has been driving the
set choices. The customer hated the Vodabi sets we tried first.
I bought an Aastra and within a week, the hookswitch failed.

I now have a Panasonic KXTS105 on order; it claims to have a
"ringer" light that I hope is a neon... otherwise I need some
beehives... But they use batteries, ugh...

The REAL problem is the customers were spoiled in their last
office with a 1232+TSV102+7500 sets.....
