I have one that's been constantly powered up for about 3 years :-). It sits on the computer hutch in my office. It works O.K.. We used it in the Wal-Mart store during construction to answer the phone and play a message. It actually lights the 90v message waiting light of a 2700xx Vodavi phone. I think I got it on eBay for about $125.
