Wow, in 22 years I have taken about 4 credit cards to pay for a system. So
many that I don't even have a merchant account for the last 17 years (I do
have a Paypal account).

My national accounts are more of a problem than the local ones. I guess
getting in their face and threatening to take/or not completing a key
portion of the installation usually gets a check upon completion. I think
my writeoffs in 22 years is about .01%. I walk away from a lot of bids
where it looks like the customer is just "kicking the tires". The 50%
usually seperates the wheat from the chaff. You don't know me, I don't
know you, but I want you to give me half down :-)

My worst nightmare is the national's trick, "Well we haven't been paid yet
so we can't pay you." Huh? Did I work for you or the customer. Oh. Give
me the number and I'll call the account and do my own collections.
And BTW you are on credit hold and CIA for all future jobs. They want 10%
hardware markup and to use your money for 90 days....Bzzt. Wrong answer.
