That can't be right. (everything else seems correct though) I use xdp ports
all the time for all kinds of things without a digital phone.
I took over  a D1232-1 that was using the Pana TVP150 on xdp ports
221-222-223-224.  It was working fine, at least the ports were working
fine...

I could see using analog vm if someone had a maxed out system on digital
extensions and didn't need/want any special features as mentioned.  Purely
because you should be able to use the xdp without bothering the digital
phones.

Occasionally I see some features that we wish the TVS would have.
=> dial by first AND last name... and multiple name spellings  (jon, john,
smith, smythe)
=> secondary greeting menus for closings/ holidays easily turned on/off by
users
=> secondary mailbox greetings
