I agree in part John , but I put mould release on the bolts, then wipe it all 
off the same as when glassing from a mould, from bolts, I  glue inside the spar 
with a pipe cleaner and resin , then, you can crack them with a spanner and 
remove if needed, much easier then heaps of epoxy. After many years, the 
moisture from the timber can, and will corrode the bolts, if the timber hole is 
not sealed. It pays sometimes to get an engineer to do an annual from time to 
time (another pairs of eyes perspective,)  I did and he wanted to remove a few 
WAF bolts to check for correction. But there was none due to  the epoxy 
sealing. Works great.
