If you just purchase a rebuilt 0-200 from a supplier expect $12 K to $14K now days.  Prices have gone crazy lately.

In the short time since I last looked at 0-200 prices they have increased to the point that they may have priced themself right out of the range for KR builders.  Looking on Barnstromers I found them in limited supply and crazy in price.

If I were starting from scratch today I'd be inclined to plan on using a Corvair and at least buy the parts for later assembly. Corvair reliability today is much improved since the 25+ years ago when I started my project and purchased a wrecked C150 for $1800 to get the engine, landing gear, and instruments.  The 0-200 is bullet proof but the prices are getting out of control for "dreamers" like us KR builders.  Reality check !!!!

Good luck..........
