I had an ivo prop on my 1835. It was terrible. I tried to climb over the Guadalupe in South Texas and could not get to 8500 feet. I had to go through a little cut at 6500. It was 90° outside and it just would not climb. I talk to him at Osh Kosh that year and he agreed to take the prop back. I know that a couple people wanted to buy one from him and he said if it was going on a KR he would not sell it. I was not the first one he took the prop back for. I don't know if it's that way still or not. Less palmer put the bigger one on his Subaru engine and I test flew it a couple of times before we removed it. It belong to somebody else so he returned it and made his own prop. I know there are a number Prop makers out there. I ended up using Edd Sterba props and they really worked well. I told him the airplane and the horsepower and he made me a prop that work just right.
