I also meant to mention that some nice folks will let you borrow their prop or spare prop and let you try it to see what kind of performance you get (with the understanding that if you kill it, you buy a new one). I've flown more than twenty different props on my "known animal" KR2S to compare them, so people will do that for you. One issue with that though is that your engine is fairly unknown in the KR world, so that strategy is considerably more iffy, but borrow several, try them out and maybe make a pitch change when you order it.

Props will surprise you. I've installed props that got more speed and better climb at a lower RPM (the Sensenich is such an example) than the prop I had been using. Even props by the same manufacturer are different. Maybe that's the argument behind an adjustable prop.....tweak it to best performance that you want, declare victory, and fly happily ever after.....
