Not sure if this problem existed only in the KR2S design or in the KR2
design as well? How would you fix the issue without spending too much time
& efforts on tearing apart the skin of the stub wings completely?

If you recall from whence the KR was born you can imagine why that area
of the wing is not reinforced in some manner. The KR sat so low to the
ground that even Ken, with is shorter stature, was able to just step in
to the cockpit. He didn't need to step on the wing with his KR being a
taildrager. My KR stands considerably higher then the original but I
stand considerable higher also at 6'4". My wing is not reinforced but I
just step in to the cockpit too. Several builders have reinforced that
area and have photos on their web pages.
