I was back at the hangar this morning to take the KR for a flight after the annual.  I checked my prop flange again and it appears that, as Jeff indicated, there are additional timing marks on the bottom when the crank is in the timing position.  I had never looked that closely at the flange when timing the mags until I had it at TDC and the timing position.  I'm now guessing that the little "dimple" I've been seeing when doing timing was a punch mark someone added and it appears to be off a degree or two.  Seem the engine runs smoother now that both mags are in correct and synchronous time.  I get a very small drop in rpm, maybe less that 25 rpm on mag check and each mag is identical.

I dropped in to Mt.Vernon and checked out the new restaurant. I'm considerably impressed.  Open 6:am to 8:00pm, breakfast served all day, great menu, very reasonable prices.  I'm guessing Gathering attendees will eat every meal on the airport while they are there.  I was told by Chris Collins that they served 600 people on Mother's Day.  Much enlarged seating area with several walls removed.  Gathering attendees will not be disappointed. Chris said he tried one of their "haystacks" the other day.  An extra large biscuit covered with hash browns and sausage, then covered with gravy and topped with an egg.  He could hardly eat it all.

Great weekend to fly here in the Midwest. I'd best get the grass mowed so I can play all weekend.
