What engine are you using?

Tks,'Craig

Do not add any length forward of the spar. With the heavier engine, my cg is
more forward than typical. I can load items in the cargo, and have no worries
about aft CG. The fuse is about 4 inches wider and the widest point is at the
aft spar. Plenty of room for hips and shoulders. At 2500 rpm, it cruises at
160+ mph. On happier days, 167 mph. I flew a box pattern at 3500, 7500, and
12500 to get the GPS speeds for averaging. I have not flown enough trips to
find the best speed/range, but 2450 rpm seems to be where it ends up. My plane
is heavy at 865 lbs. The one piece wing and engine being the major
contributors to the heft. The wing design allowed for adding flaps. The
airport I now fly out of has a 2600' runway, and the flaps do help. The flight
controls are light and quick, with no unwanted tendencies at stall.
