No, the engine is not heavy, dry weight comes in at 185# with turbo, with fuel
pump ECM starter and alternator it is 210#. I am machining a gearbox drive for
it currently and trying for an installed weight of 270lbs or less with gearbox,
intercooler and radiator and fluids. This engine is making up to 205hp reliably
in automotive applications at this time. I would like the longer wing for high
altitude cruising with the turbo engine for cross country trips. This engine
with have 2 spark plugs per cylinder, individual coil packs and all redundant
sensors and ECM’s.
