My understanding from what I have read is that there was no change to the Light Sport Category which allows flying without a medical. If you desire a 3rd class medical and have never had one before you will have to get one, and then not hever have to get one again unless you require a special issuance. Here's his quote: "Kind of ridiculous that I've been flying without a medical for the past 15 years with no problems, but to qualify to NOT need a medical I have to get one?" > Maybe I missed something but I didn't see anywhere he stated he's been > flying without a medical. Unless he said something else that I missed, to > assume he doesn't have one based on that comment is a stretch. _______________________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at https://www.mail-archive.com/krnet@list.krnet.org/.
