Hay all, how much longer wingspan is everyone talking about? I talked to Jenett
about that once, about using the KR1 motoglider wings. She didn't say no but
Hell no. That the center spar was not strong enough. I know that a little extra
wouldn't hurt but has anybody run the numbers on what would be safe and what
would be too much. This goes back to aircraft weight, When we go above the
weight listed in the plans the g limit starts to come down. The design is 7 g's
at 800 lbs. When we go above 800 lbs we no longer have a 7 g airplane. She told
me how much we lose for every so many lbs, but i don't remember the number.
Anyway, i'm just trying to say don't mess around too much with the basic plans
unless you've done the research. Mark knows what he's doing so i'd check with
him first.
